Her paintings are figurative and unfiltered in their references to the natural world while also coincidental, accidental and unexpected.
Cole takes daily life as subject matter while commenting on the everyday aesthetic of forms in nature. She works to develop compositions that do not follow logical criteria, but are based on subjective associations and formal parallels, which incite the viewer to make new personal associations.
She lives in southwest, Colorado with her husband, yellow lab and grey tabby.
